St. Paul’s School

The Foundation Stone for the school was laid on April 28, 1968. Over the last five decades, St. Paul’s School has emerged as one of the finest educational institutions in the National Capital Region. Started in a very humble way, it is the first school set up by the Indian Orthodox Church in Delhi - NCR. Today, it is a Senior Secondary, English- medium School with classes from Nursery till 12. Presently, it has 2200 students on its rolls with over 120 qualified and dedicated teachers. The School is promoted and managed by the Delhi Orthodox Syrian Church Society. The Indian Orthodox Church is an indigenous church which is rooted firmly in the Indian soil. The Delhi Orthodox Church Society was registered in 1960 with the threefold objective of: worship, education and healthcare. St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Hauz Khas was built in 1968. Towards providing affordable healthcare, the St. Mary’s Medical Centre was established in Aya Nagar, a rural area in Delhi near the Gurugram border, where medical care and emergency clinical attention are being provided especially for women and children. Additionally, the Society runs a Secondary school in Aya Nagar to cater to the needs of the children of that area. The vision of St. Paul’s School is to ‘nurture a child’s potential to become a responsible Global Citizen’. The School strives constantly to instill attributes of a ‘responsible citizen’ in its students. The school imparts value-based quality education and many of its alumni have been making significant contributions globally, in diverse fields. During the 50 fruitful years of its journey, the school has shaped the future of thousands of students, thereby positively adding value to the lives of hundreds of families irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The Golden Jubilee celebrations from April 2017 to April 2018 envisage many allied programmes and projects including extending scholarships to disadvantaged children, setting up of a Multi-Skill centre and a host of other initiatives.
