YMCA Delhi Athletics Meet
Students of our school won the First Position in the March Past competition at YMCA Delhi Championship Athletics Meet held at Chanakyapuri on 25th November '09. Mr. Satpal Singh (Gold Medalist Olympic Games) presented the winning trophy.

2010 Endeavour Executive Award
Our Principal Rema Alex Daniel has been awarded with 2010 Endeavour Executive Award. This award is equivalent to the Fulbright Scholarship of USA. It enables the recipient to undertake research studies in Australia for a period of 1 to 4 months.
Youth Parliament Competition
Students of our school participated in the 5th Inter School Youth Parliament Competition held at Red Roses Public School on the 30th & 31st October 2009. Five students who won the 'Best Orator' prize are Sameer Sagar, Celesta M Mathew, Robin Thomas from Class VIII & Rupsha Roy, Titiksha Gupta from Class VII. Despite being the youngest among the competitors, their performance and enthusiasm was widely appreciated by the judges.

Girls team Secured First position in March Past. They will take part in the Inter Zonals at Bawana in November '09.
Ansu C Joy of Class X won Silver Medal in the Junior Girls Shotput event.
Ansu C Joy of Class X secured 1st position in Junior Girls Discuss throw.
Lincy John of Class X secured 3rd position in Junior Girls Javelin throw.
Anmol S of class X won Gold Medal in the Discuss throw event.
Rahul Walia of Class X won silver Medal in 200 mts Race.
Achievers
We are proud to announce that two students- Aastha Chaturvedi and Vaishali Panwar participated in the 54th Nationals Sqay Martial Arts Championship 2009-2010.
Sqay Martial Arts is a new form of Martial Arts recently introduced in India. These Nationals were held at Orissa from 28th Jan 2009 to 1 Feb 2009.
Despite being basketball players, these students have made us proud by qualifying for the Nationals in the first attempt.
All our wishes are with them and hope they further make us proud by going to more championships and winning medals.

Rohit Chawla of class XI went to Colombo for an International tournament “All Japan Shito Ryu Seiko Kai – Sri lanka Branch” on 5th of April 2009. He won Gold Medal in KATA and Silver medal in KUMITE category.

Inter School Sports Events 2009
Literacy Day Competition
A group of four students of classes VIII and IX went to Guru Tegh Bahadur School on the occasion of 'Literacy Day'. Shreya Desai and Shristi participated in the script writing competition whereas Piyushi Singh and Muskaan participated in the story writing competition. Piyushi singh won the First Prize for the story writing competition.
Extempore - Debate
Four students from our school were chosen to go the YWCA for a Debate competition, one speaker for the motion, one against the motion and two interjectors. the topic they had to speak on was 'Whether AIDS affected children should be admitted to mainstream schools or not'. Our school won the Best Team Award and bagged the Rolling Trophy. Alphy Geever of XI C won the Best Speaker Prize along with a cash prize of Rs.2500/-.
Inter School Poster Making Competition
Students from our schools participated in Inter School Poster Making Competition held at Waulden School, Niti Bagh. Sreeparna Roy, of class III won the Judge's Special Prize & Shivalika of class V won the Third prize.
Board Result
All the students of class X who appeared for the CBSE Board Examination 08-09 have passed with First division. This is the first time ever since 1985.
The students of Class XII Humanities have all scored A1 & A2 in the CBSE Board Examination 08-09 in Sociology, History & Political Science.
We congratulate Ms. Renu Bhatia, Ms.Shakuntala Ghosh, Ms.Srelekha Mukerji & students for their achievement.

Inter school Speech Contest
The NGO, Chetna, organized a speech contest on the topic 'Preception on the Importance of Birth Registration through Cultural Performance'. Pinaki Das of class X-C won the first prize and Sameer of class VIII- A won the second prize in the senior category. The finals were held at Dilli Haat on 29th May 2009
Nukkad Natak/ Poem Recitation
The Indian Environmental Society organized a street play ( Nukkad Natak) competition. Students of class IX participated in this competition and won first prize and were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
Hindi street Play Competition
10 students of class IX participated in a Hindi Street Play competition on the topic 'Paryavaran' at the India International Science Centre. Our school stood first in the competition.
Volvo Adventure
Few Students of our school took part in an international competition called the Volvo Adventure.Their project was on the topic saving earth from the climate turmoil. Our school submitted a project called the green warriors. It was about killing mosquitoes in an eco-friendly way. This was done through lemon grass oil extraction from the process of distillation. This project has received an entry in the Young environmentalist award which will be sent to Sweden.
